Government ministries, local authorities, state enterprises and parastatals are among the largest buyers in Zimbabwe. Every purchase they make must follow the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act. For suppliers, that means a clear set of rules that can be learned and used to win business. For procurement officers, it means a legal duty to get every step right.
This course explains public procurement in Zimbabwe from both sides of the table. It is designed for suppliers and bid teams who want to win more tenders, procurement officers and members of procurement management units and evaluation committees, accounting officers, finance staff and auditors. The first lesson of each module covers the basics for anyone new to the subject.
