Artificial intelligence is now part of everyday work. Used well, it saves hours, raises quality and opens up new ways of working. Used badly, it produces confident errors, leaks confidential data, wastes money and damages reputations. The difference is not the tool. It is the method of the person using it.

This course gives working professionals a practical, structured way to use AI productively and responsibly. You will learn how different types of AI work, what drives the cost of AI (token economics), how to choose the right AI for a task, how to brief it effectively, and how to check and take ownership of what it produces. The course is built around the EUNOIA AI Method, a six-step approach developed by Eunoia Consultants:

  • Envision the outcome
  • Understand the value required
  • Nominate the AI
  • Outline the engagement
  • Interact efficiently
  • Assure and account

It is designed for managers, analysts, administrators, consultants, HR, finance and communications professionals, and anyone who wants to use AI with skill and confidence. Examples come from workplaces around the world, including Africa. The course is tool-neutral and applies to any AI assistant. The first lesson of each module covers the basics.

What you will learn

  • The main types of AI (rule-based, predictive, generative and agentic) and how large language models work
  • Token economics: what tokens are, how AI is priced, and how to manage an AI budget
  • The EUNOIA AI Method and the Nomination Questions for choosing the right type of AI
  • How to set the parameters of engagement and write effective prompts
  • Why AI gets things wrong, how to check outputs with the SCAN method, and how to use AI responsibly

How the course works

There are five modules, each with four lessons and a short quiz. You need 70% on each quiz to complete the course and earn your certificate. Lessons include “Try this” exercises you can run in any AI assistant.

About figures

AI prices, model names and investment figures change quickly. Lessons focus on principles. Current figures are collected in a Course reference table at the end of the final lesson.
